Abstract

U autoindustriji sportskih automobila veliki naglasak stavlja se na performanse vozila koje uključuju longitudinalno ubrzanje, dinamičke vozne osobine, maksimalnu brzinu te vrijeme kruga na određenoj stazi u svijetu. S obzirom na to da smo pri dizajniranju i konstruiranju takvog vozila ograničeni mnogobrojnim faktorima koji reguliraju što se sve može pojaviti na cesti ovaj cijeli proces predstavlja značajan izazov inženjerima.
Veliki utjecaj na karakteristike sportskog automobila ima aerodinamika te ćemo naglasak u ovome radu staviti na opisivanje načina na koji ona mijenja performanse vozila tijekom vožnje.
Ideja ovog rada je prikazati (na realan način) tijek konstrukcije stražnjeg krila sportskog vozila uzimajući u obzir sve prepreke s kojima se susreću timovi inženjera kroz ovaj proces u nekoj tvrtki koja se bavi razvojem automobila.
Prvo je izvršena analiza četiriju NACA krila u slobodnoj struji, a zatim je jedno krilo koje je pokazalo najbolje karakteristike analizirano u sklopu s vozilom Rimac Automobili C_Two.
Pokazano je da se zamjenom dizajnerskog sa odabranim NACA profilom postižu veća efikasnost i bolja dinamička vozna svojstva kao posljedica povećanja sile uzgona (potiska).
U budućem radu bi se moglo ići u dodatnu optimizaciju odabranog krila zajedno sa ostalim komponentama vozila koja utječu na njegove aerodinamičke performanse.

Abstract (english)

In today's sports car automotive industry big focus is being put on vehicle performance which includes straight line acceleration, dynamic driving abilities, top speed and lap times around international circuits. Considering all different factors, which govern what can be seen driving on public roads, this task of creating a sports car presents a great challenge for the engineers.
Aerodynamics have a big impact on the characteristics of a sports car so in this thesis we'll be putting an emphasis on describing different ways it affects vehicle performance during driving.
The main idea behind this thesis is to present (in a realistic way) the design process of a sports car rear wing, taking into consideration all obstacles which present itself onto a team of engineers working in the automotive industry.
Firstly, four rear wings swept along a NACA airfoil profile have been analysed in freestream, one of which was selected based on its performance characteristics and implemented as a replacement for the existing rear wing on the Rimac Automobili C_Two.
We have shown that replacing a heavily design influenced rear wing with a NACA airfoil rear wing has resulted in an improvement of dynamic driving abilities as a consequence of improving the overall downforce of the vehicle.
In a future thesis we could dive deeper into the optimization of our NACA influenced rear wing together with all other parts having an impact on it.
