Abstract

Tema završnog rada prikazati je fotodegradaciju poliestera polilaktičke kiseline (PLA), te na temelju izmjerenih vrijednosti tvrdoće, savojne čvrstoće i udarnog rada loma na degradiranim normiranim ispitnim tijelima ocijeniti postojanost biorazgradivog polimera PLA na ultraljubičasto zračenje.

U prvom dijelu rada dan je opći prikaz o poliesteru polilaktičke kiseline (PLA) te o povijesti njegovog razvoja i primjene. Istražena je fotodegradacija materijala s posebnom naznakom na ultraljubičasto zračenje, te njihova podjela i primjena u pojedinim područjima. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada prikazana je izrada epruveta za ispitivanje kao i rad s uređajem točkastog izvora ultraljubičastog zračenja Hamamatsu LC8, te uspoređivanje s uzorcima PLA polimera koji nisu bili podvrgnuti ultraljubičastom zračenju.

Abstract (english)

The thesis shows photodegradation of the aliphatic polyester called polylactic acid (PLA), and on the basis of measured values of hardness, flexural strength and toughness on degradable testing bodies, resistance of biodegradable polymer PLA to ultraviolet radiation will be shown.

The first part of the thesis presents information about polyester polylactic acid (PLA) and history of its development and application. Photodegradation of materials with particular indication on ultraviolet radiation and the classification and application in the certain fields have been explored. The experimental part of the thesis demonstrates the production of testing bodies and working with the punctual ultraviolet radiation source device Hamamatsu LC8. The final stage of the project will be comparing the test results with the results of the PLA polymer that hasn’t been submitted to ultraviolet radiation.
